Manufacturing Engineer - Contract
Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, being a team player, and experience with DC torque tool programming and maintenance

Location - Minnesota
SomeTravel between clients' plants in Minnesota
1***. Heavy emphasis on implementing, programming, and maintaining current and future DC torque tools.
2 Develop and recommend manufacturing processes to meet product design engineering requirements.
This includes specifying, justifying, implementing, and supporting new equipment and tooling at production facilities
assigned.
3. Formulate, develop, and recommend business case justifications for capital equipment purchases
This includes manufacturing/production equipment and additional items such as software and training.
4. Ensure that capital purchase business cases, presentations, and final proposals are prepared, recommended, and submitted for review and approval
5 Standard work instructions should be created and implemented, and personnel should be trained on those instructions.
6. Facilitate and implement lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, value stream mapping, set-up reduction, etc.).
7. Encourage continuous improvement and teamwork.
8. Establish fair and consistent time standards by conducting process observations.
9. Advise MIS/IT/Help Desk as needed on new initiatives and to resolve PC/software/network issues.
10. To better support production, research and test new technologies.
11. As required, lead and/or participate in internal and external audits and certifications of suppliers.
12. Collaboration with various vendors on new technologies and troubleshooting.
13. Maintain 5S weekly audits, housekeeping, and continuous improvement activities to support OPEX.
Education
- Engineer – engineering degree
- Technologist – engineering diploma
- Technician – related courses & work experience
- All–lean certification or applicable equivalent work experience
